About Caleb Thetford, LMHC, MHP, CMHS

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington. I received my Masters in Clinical Counseling from Saint Martin’s University along with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an Associates of Science in Criminal Justice from Grays Harbor Community College.

I have worked with in Community Mental Health for the past 6 years as an Adult Case Manager, Adult Therapist, and as a Child and Family Therapist. I have experience in treating trauma, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and impulse control disorders in children.

I provide individual, couples, family, group, and internet based counseling services. I strive to provide an environment that allows positive therapeutic relationship building and an environment guided by the Client’s desire for change.  Clients are supported in creating and defining their own view of the problem and engaged in setting their own goals for change.  I use empathy and compassion to provide a space for change as I hold space for the Client to assess changes and barriers to change. I am eclectic in the modalities that I use. These modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Psycho-Drama, Person Centered, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
